candace help out at the library after school. The head librarian tells her that there are 2,160 books in the children's section

of the library. Candace also notice that there are 3 groups of 3 bookcases in the children's section and each bookcase has 6 shelves. How many books are on each shelf if each shelf has the same number of books on it.

That would be 40 books on each shelf. Hope that helped :)
Here is the process:
2,160/ 9 stands = 240 books per stand
240 stands/ 6 shelves each = 40 books on each shelf.
