I would say the importance of it.
The government of ancient Egypt was a theocratic monarchy as the king ruled by a mandate from the gods, initially was seen as an intermediary between human beings and the divine, and was supposed to represent the gods' will through the laws passed and policies approved.
One of the results of the Supreme Court ruling in Gibbons v. Ogden was that "The Court defined interstate commerce and declared federal law supreme over state l<span>aw," since it ruled that New York could not override the federal right to regulate commerce. </span>
HAMMURRABI'S CODE A legal code developed by King Hammurabi of Mesopotamia. It specified crimes and punishments to help judges impose penalties. It is written for anybody to use.
