The Pilgrims that traveled in the Mayflower ship created a set of rules that could establish the basic structure of a society. It was signed on November 11, 1620, and created the first laws for Pilgrims and non-Pilgrims(merchants, indentured servants, and craftsmen). The laws reaffirmed loyalty to King James of England, they accepted Christianity and would work for the benefit of the colony.
