Colonies were angry at the Stamp Act of 1765 because they did not have representation in Parliament.

The Stamp Act of 1765 was passed by the British Parliament on March 22, 1765. With the act, the Parliament wished to increment revenue using direct taxation on the colonies. The tax imposed to the colonies by the British Parliament forced the colonies to pay a tax for the printed paper they used. Colonies were angry at the Stamp Act of 1765 because they did not have representation in Parliament.
