A food pyramid shows that top animal for that food chain for certain animal just like a lion is top for land animals and sharks are top for marine animals. It also shows whether its a herbivore, carnivore, or a producer. The producers are the plants that the herbivore eats and the herbivore becomes the primary consumer which gets eaten by the carnivore which is a meat eater and is the second consumer and then gets eaten by the top tertiary consumer which is most likely a carnivore. All the info is in a pyramid is basically what type of eater is it and what kind of consumer it is

How can scientists learn about the mantle if they cannot study it directly?
Mice21 [21]
So by looking at the seismic waves from earthquakes the scientist learned about the crust and the mantle but they also learned about the outer and inner core. To do this you have to look at a different kind of waves, the S (secondary waves) waves that also get released by an earthquake.

What factor slows transcription?
Leya [2.2K]

Repressor slows down transcription.

RNA Polymerase enzyme transcribes mRNA from DNA.

Explanation:

Promoters are the 100 to 900 bps long sequence of DNA, that helps in the initiation of transcription. The transcription gets slow down as repressor bind to the promoter region hampering the attachment of RNA Polymerase enzyme which is responsible for transcription.

The process of transcription is the conversion of DNA into mRNA as told in the central dogma of molecular biology. Enzyme responsible for transcription is RNA polymerase. It is the first phase of gene expression, where DNA strand is copied into mRNA called a primary transcript.

Archy [21]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

The discipline of microbiology has to do with the study of microorganisms - tiny organisms that cannot be seen with the ordinary eyes except with the microscope.

Within the cells of microorganisms just as in every other cell, various biochemical processes take place in order to ensure the continued viability of the cells. Genetic information are also passed on from parent to daughter cells during the process of reproduction or cell division.

Hence, the field of microbiology is associated with both biochemistry and genetics.
