I'd say that's false because you need a wide variety of sentences to have detail and other examples.

Answer:

I believe that the correct answer to the question: Using a variety of sentences confuses a reader and should be avoided:___, is false.

Explanation:

In writing, there is such a thing as monotony, and such a thing as variety and entertainment. Monotony is understood in writing as a text in which there is absoutely no variety in the structures, or the vocabulary used, thus making it generate a sense of boredom, instead of interest and curiosity. To avoid falling into that pattern of sameness, which would be achieved if a single sentence structure, and a limited number of words, were used, a writer has the possibility of reaching into the immense variety of structures and vocabulary that a language might offer. Therefore, sentence structure variety, instead of confusing a reader, increases the interest, and avoids monotony, if such a variety is applied wisely and within a clear framework. This is why the statement is false.

Read the excerpt below and answer the question. A strapping girl of fifteen, in the customary sunbonnet and calico dress, asked
melamori03 [73]

Answer & Explanation: Sattire involves the use of humour and irony to expose and criticize the vices of the society.

In this excerpt, Mark Twain paints a clear picture of peer pressure informing the society how young people are ridiculed for doing the right thing. Obviously, the young boy here should not be chewing tobacco but he gets laughed at which is suggestive of him doing the wrong it. Eventually he decides to do the wrong thing and he is seen as characterless.

This is typical of the society we find ourselves. We fail to realise the effect of peer pressure amongst youth. Youths are being destroyed and we dont look at the root cause of their action.

6. (a) Interpret What does King mean when he instructs the audience to
STatiana [176]

When King said "physical strength with soul strength" he meant people not to use physical strength to achieve their goals, but to use soul strength to stay motivated.

This is connected with the idea that "undeserved suffering is redeeming", as it shows that with the strength of the soul, people can withstand the injustices that they alleviate until they manage to resolve them.

We can arrive at this answer because:

  • King was an activist and the greatest leader in the struggle for civil rights.
  • He encouraged a black offer to fight for their rights and not conform to the injustices they suffer.
  • He believed that these injustices would pay off in the future, but it would be necessary for people to fight for them to cease to exist.

However, he stated that this fight should be done with the strength of the soul, that is, with the strength of will and resilience, but that physical strength and violence should not be used.

Discuss the effects of HIV AND aids in the community?
sesenic [268]

AIDS is a communicable disease that causes the destruction of the immune system and when left untreated can cause death. The AIDS epidemic began in the 1980s and caused millions of deaths around the world, especially in the 1980s and 1990s, when there was no effective mechanism to combat AIDS. That has changed in this century, as there are now effective treatments that can prolong the life of a seropositive for the average normal period of the population. However, around the world many people still die from not having adequate access to treatment. Finally, it is noteworthy that the HIV-positive community suffers a lot of prejudice and discrimination, which must be combated through awareness campaigns.
