Answer:

because it will improve your listening skills and understanding of other points of view

Explanation:

Throughout history, knowledge has developed from contrasting and comparing different ideas and points of view. In modern societies freedom of speech has played an important role as it allows different groups to express themselves. In a group discussion a similar thing happens. By respecting and allowing other thoughts and ideas you can learn new things, things that you maybe ignored or that you oppose. A problem that seemed clear to you, can appear innovative or challenging. By carefully listening to these points of view you will develop your listening skills as you need to fully undestand them in order to counterargument in an effective way. New knowledges will be formed and a deeper undestanding of different topics will be achieved.

In a group discussion, the best reason that you should respect the opinions of others, even if you do not agree with them is because, it will improve your listening skills and understanding of other points of view. This way, open-mindedness is also improved. At the same time, you will enrich your own ideas more by comparing it to others.

Bradbury is trying to show how this society is constantly bombarded with media. In this case, it's advertisements pounding them into a passive state. No one on the train is talking or interacting. They are just sitting listening to the advertisement like they are being brainwashed into buying denham's dentifrice. In contrast to this Montag is trying to read a passage from the Bible about letting go of material things (including Denham's dentifrice). This juxtaposition between the natural world and materialism further shows how society is so wrapped up in media that they are unaware of the world around them.

Write a sentence that has too much detail
natulia [17]

Answer:

Cheyanne, the girl with long, thick, black hair, was forever seen as very clever and intuitive for solving the strange, haunting mystery of the horrible murder of Mrs. Mila Quintero, who was age 67 and a terribly lonesome widow when she was poisoned while at feast that her mother, an old, wrinkly, yet lively woman, had worked on preparing for weeks.

Explanation:

1. This sentence is way too long. It goes on and on.

2. Too many adjectives!

3. Typically when describing something in a singular sentence, if you want to go in depth for detail, you need to stick with one or possibly even two subjects. Otherwise there is an overload of information.

4. Stuffing this much detail until a singular sentence confuses and bores the reader.

5. Some of this information is unnecessary. Just because you have a subject or noun, you don't have to add an appositive.
