How does peer review affect scientific knowledge

Geography
1 answer:
Drupady [299]4 years ago
4 0

Peer review essentially puts someone's work under the scrutiny of another expert in the same field. Peer review helps find mistakes and ensure to publishers that the work is in its most excellent and correct form. If a study isn't peer reviewed, there's no guarantee that the author didn't lie about or make up the results.
