It was possible that the theory of continental drifts caused water levels to rise, thus making the pieces of so-called Pangaea not fit perfectly.

Another theory could be due to weathering and erosion of the continents to create a new shape of each continent.

Explain what is a Sial in Geography??
Veronika [31]

Answer:

In geology, the term sial refers to the composition of the upper layer of Earth's crust, namely rocks rich in aluminium silicate minerals. It is sometimes equated with the continental crust because it is absent in the wide oceanic basins, but 'sial' is a geochemical term rather than a plate tectonic term.

tatyana61 [14]
Hi!

The options are:

1) It's the planet furthest away from Earth
2) It rotates in the opposite direction to most other planets
3) It's the brightest natural object in the sky
4) It has a strong magnetic field

The right option is 2) <span>Venus is known for its hellishly hot surface temperatures. But it has other distinctions too, such as It rotates in the opposite direction to most other planets.

Venus is the second planet in the solar system, counting from the Sun, and the sixth in size. This planet has the longest day in the solar system (243 Earth days). Venus' movement is dextrogirous, meaning that it rotates clockwise, opposite to the movement of other planets. In Venus, the sun rises from the West and sets in the East.
