Answer:

C. Created a weak central government, reflecting early American leaders’ fear of tyranny

Explanation:

Under the Articles of Confederation, the first U.S. Constitution, the states were given full sovereignty and independence at the expenses of a weak central government with delimited powers, consisting of a Congress only, meaning that there was no separation of powers. The Founding Fathers believed that by establishing a limited central government, they would avoid the tyranny that they had suffered under the British rule.

Answer:

C. Created a weak central government, reflecting early American leaser's fear of tyranny.

Explanation:

Article of confederation served as the first constitution of USA, and was an agreement among the thirteen colonies. It came into effect on March 1, 1781. The Articles set up a legislative body and Congress become the highest power in USA. Only congress had the power to assign treaties, declare war, operate post offices and participate in foreign relations. One of the major weakness of articles of confederation was that congress could pass the laws but it didn't have the authority to enforce them, Also it couldn't regulate trade or levy taxes. It was extremely difficult to amend the articles of confederation. Congress was given most of the powers because they were afraid of tyranny which they had to face under the British monarch.

In 1-2 sentences each, explain the two narratives (stories) about Hiroshima.
Svetllana [295]

The narratives about Hiroshima can be illustrated as victimization and triumph.

Hiroshima as victimization.

Japanese recalled the war in terms of victimization. World War II brought to mind the deaths of family and friends. They also recalled the bombings of their cities.

Hiroshima as triumph

To most Americans, the shattered city was a symbol of triumph. It marked the end of a global conflict. It was hard to imagine the Japanese surrendering without the atomic bomb. Therefore, the use of the atomic bomb on the city brought about the Japanese surrendering.
