some of the similarities is government have a hard time cooperating like the roman senate killed each other for power thing like this happen in the us  is the different fought for control of the us senate like the democracy party and republic party they were also constantly bringing up new random ideas, and also the people in charge have a hard time following orders because of their bias. they were also the people overspending like before the 2008 crash an average people borrow about 30,000 to 100,000 from bank which made it crash and they keeping burrowing money today for like houses and cars and boat which expect for houses is unnecessary and maybe a car to.
