If p(x) is a function, then a real-world example might be

The amount of fish food, in grams required for the giant koi fish in the pond can be represented by the function p(f)=\frac{f}{50} +7.5. If there are 50 fish, how many grams of fish food will you need?

p(250)=\frac{250}{50} +7.5
p(250)=50 +7.5
p(250) = 57.5

A clothing store charges $25 for 4 t-shirts. a student says that the unit price is $0.16 per t-shirt. what is the error? what is
lesya [120]
 25/4  = 6.25 per t-shirt <== unit price

the error that was  made is the student put the number of t-shirts over the price, instead of the price over the number of t-shirts.

Where is the circumcenter of any given triangle?
Salsk061 [2.6K]

The <em>correct answer</em> is:

B) the point of concurrency of the perpendicular bisectors of the sides of the triangle

Explanation:

The definition of circumcenter is "the point of intersection of the perpendicular bisectors of a triangle."

To construct the circumcenter, we first construct the perpendicular bisector of each side of the triangle. Once we have these three lines, we find their point of intersection; this is the circumcenter.
