English
1 answer:

Answer:

A.  Spontaneous concerts and other spur-of-the-moment events are easier to organize nowadays now that e-mailing, texting, and social networking get information to people instantly.

Explanation:

A complex sentence is formed by an independent clause and a dependent one. That means we need to transform one of our clauses into a dependent/subordinate clause to obtain a complex sentence.

The best option is letter A. The first clause remained the same, which makes it now the main clause. The second clause begins with "now that", which is a subordinate conjunction. We have here a complex sentence.

Letters B and C joined the clauses correctly, but did not form a complex sentence because both clauses remain independent.

Letter D could have been a good option, but both sentences were transformed into subordinate ones. If you read the sentence, you'll notice it does not make sense because of the "although" that was added to it.

Phoenix [80]

Answer:

D). Outcome distinction.

Explanation:

As per the description given, the kind of difference between verbal as well as non-verbal communication that has been exemplified here would be '<u>outcome distinction</u>' as Sally's non-verbal communication leads to evoke an emotional and relational response from the audience. Thus, this affective function played by non-verbal communication of hers is directly reflecting the distinction to her verbal communication that is primarily inclined towards 'provoking the thoughts of the audience.' Therefore, <u>option D</u> is the correct answer.

What did Youngster’s telephone call to Fr. Boyle illustrates?
Naddik [55]

Toward the end of 2007, the small town of Reeves, Louisiana, finally rid itself of a telephone area code that had been bedeviling its citizens since the 1960s — 666. Christians in Reeves were unhappy having the “number of the beast” for their prefix since being assigned it.
