Liberals are the groups who wanted to change the society that tolerated all the religions. Liberals opposed the uncontrolled power of monarchy. They did not believe in Universal Adult Franchise too.. Radicals are those who wanted a nation which was based on majority of country's population.
The Anti-Federalists insisted that a Bill of Rights be added to the Constitution because they believed that this document would give far too much power to the federal government--making it tyrannical. Therefore they wanted to ensure that the most fundamental human liberties would be protected by adding these amendments.
It did. Suddenly everyone became a republican, even the states that were commonly democratic. Regan won so hard and was so popular that nobody was even close to him. He even won states like California and had 525 electors. This created a new era of conservatism and the US turned to republicans.
