Why do you think Vincent van Gogh's art is still thought so highly of today? If he was unknown and poor during his life-time why

would he be known today? It is said that an estimate of the value of his painting Starry Night is at well over 100 million dollars! Tell me some things about his art that you think make it appeal to so many people.

I think Vincent Van Gogh is one of the most remembered artists today because of his expressive use of vivid colour and emphatic brush work. Van Gogh inspires many young artists to this day because of his unique style and bright palette.
