It means that you take the number and multiply it by itself the amount of what the small number is. for example, if i have 7 with a 2 above it i need to multiply it by itself twice so

7x7=49

if it has a three above it i need to multiply it by itself 3 times

7x7x7= 343

hope this helps and feel free to ask further questions

It's basically saying how many times that number is multiplied by itself

ex:

2²= 2×2

2³= 2×2×2

lawyer [7]

The number of years it would it take for there to be one person for every square yard is 93.6 years.

<h3>How many years would it take for there to be one person for every square yard?
</h3>

When there is one person for every square yard, it means that the population and land area are equal in value.

Number of years = (In FV / PV) / r

  • FV = future population
  • PV = present population
  • r = rate of growth

(In 35 billion / 1 billion) / 0.038 = 93.6 years

Here is the complete question:
Country A has an exponential growth rate of 3.8% per year. The population is currently 1,000,000 ,000 and the land area of Country A is 35,000,000,000 square yards. Assuming this growth rate continues and is exponential, after how long will there be one person for every square yard of land?

Which expression is equivalent to (3^2)^-2<br><br> a.-81<br> b.-12<br> c.1/81<br> d.1/12
Reptile [31]

Answer: c.1/81

Step-by-step explanation:

1. The negative exponent indicates that (3²)² is actually in the denominator, thererfore,, you can rewrite the expression as it is shown below:

\frac{1}{3^{2}}^{2}

2.By the properties of exponents you raise a powers of powers, you must multiply the exponents shown, then:

 \frac{1}{3^{4}}

3. Then. you obtain that the equivalent expression is:

 \frac{1}{81}
