<u><em>y=3 is the correct answer.</em></u> First you had to remove parenthesis first. And it gave us, -3*2y=-18. Then multiply by the numbers. And it gave us, -6y=-18. Next, divide by -6 from both sides of equation. And it gave us, \frac{-6y}{-6}= \frac{-18}{-6}. And finally simplify, and it gave us the answer is y=3 is the right answer. Hope this helps! And thank you for posting your question at here on brainly, and have a great day. -Charlie

The size of a television screen is measured by the length of thee diagonal of the screen. What size is a television screen that
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

approximately 6.708 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

We use the Pythagorean theorem to solve the problem, using 3 feet and 6 feet as the legs of a right angle triangle. The diagonal of the screen is therefore the "hypotenuse" of this right angle triangle, and can be determined via the formula:

diagonal = \sqrt{(3\,ft)^2+(6\,ft)^2} \\diagonal = \sqrt{9\,ft^2+36\,ft^2} \\diagonal = \sqrt{45} \,ft\\diagonal = 3\,\sqrt{5} \,ft

which is approximately 6.708 feet

If you invest a penny on Jan 1, 1776 at 10% interest compounded daily, how much would you have on Jan 1, 2011?
pentagon [3]
I'm not sure if this is the right answer, but here goes nothing.  To find the amount of money you would make in one day, you have to multiply 1.10 times 1 penny (because you want to add .10 AND the penny) then you multiply that by 365 for how much you make in a year which is 401.5 then multiply that by 35 years, and you get 14052.5.  Sorry if that's wrong!  Good luck!
