Answer:

See explanations below for answers to each question.

Explanation:

Question 1)

The benefits of summarizing a text are D. Summarizing can help improve your comprehension. This means that providing a summary of the text can help you better understand what you are reading, which is a true statement. A summary should describe the central ideas of the passage (so choice A is incorrect), but should be concise (so choice C is incorrect). A summary also should not include your personal opinions, so choice B is also incorrect.

Question 2)

A summary should include C. the central ideas. A summary should describe the main ideas of a text and include the main points that the author of the passage is trying to convey. A summary should not include the reader's conclusions since it should focus on the ideas in the passage itself (choice A is incorrect). Although an interesting metaphor or names of other texts may be a good idea to read or learn about, they should also not be included in a summary; therefore, choice C is the only correct option.

Question 3)

The correct choice is option C. A book review may include the opinions of the person writing the review, while a summary should not include opinions. A book review, by nature, is the author's opinion on whether or not the book is good, which will vary from author to author. A summary, as a general rule, should contain the main ideas of the text. Summaries should stay consistent from person to person, since they are recapping the main points of a passage and include no personal opinions.

Question 4)

The best definition of a summary is D. a brief, objective statement of the central ideas of a text. As stated above, a summary should just describe the main ideas of a text and should include no opinions, either from the reader or outside sources.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

Hello.....I hope my explaining will help

Explanation:

For the parts one its like a map you got to look at it very carefully just like parts parts you have to focus on the details. The details are very important because the details can lead to theme(the message) and the setting(where and when).

For The title Interrelationship it gives a big picture on what the story is going to be about.

Well.. to draw a conclusion on visual as a whole you got to read the story or poem very carefully to get a good conclusion. It means when you read the story and your trying to make a conclusion (summarize) on what the story was about.

The map is a very important detail like i said in the parts paragraph this map is showing European exploration and where Christopher Columbus went to on the map. The lines on the map tell you where he has been and they're different color coded because they're probably done it different times I do not know for sure tho....

The Doctor doubled his old-fashioned cloak across his breast as he strode home through the darkness. He knew his fellow-creature
mr_godi [17]

Answer and Explanation:

This is an excerpt from the novel "The Awakening", by author Kate Chopin.

Diction refers to an author's choice of words, particularly for clarity, effectiveness, and precision. Chopin's diction in the excerpt conveys the idea that the Doctor is an experienced man who values solitude. He is characterized as more of an introvert, someone who truly craves some time alone, some quietness:

"He was sorry he had accepted Pontellier's invitation. He was growing old, and beginning to need rest and an imperturbed spirit." - Impertubed means calm, quiet.

Also, the Doctor is knowledgeable when it comes to human nature, so he can predict what others want from him:

" He knew his fellow-creatures better than most men; knew that inner life which so seldom unfolds itself to unanointed eyes. [...] He did not want the secrets of other lives thrust upon him." - The highlighted words indicate the Doctor's experience has allowed him to get know people perhaps too well, to the point of seeing beyond what others see.

Using textual evidence discuss how the setting of Welch has impacted Jeannette and her family. USE TEXTUAL EVIDENCE
Effectus [21]

Answer:

After a month of driving, the family finally makes it to Welch, West Virginia. After meeting Erma, her father’s mother who refuses to be called ‘Grandma,' Grandpa Walls, and Uncle Stanley, Jeannette is shocked to find no resemblance between them and her father. Welch is a picture of destitution and unemployment, though in earlier days it thrived as a coal mining town. Rex takes his family on a tour of the town and explains that the very first food stamps were handed out in Welch after hard times came to its people in the 1950’s. Rose Mary sees the destitution of the town as an opportunity to establish herself as an artist since there would be no competition nearby.
