The statement which best explains the relationship between satellite technology and the internet is this: PEOPLE IN LESS DEVELOPED NATIONS USE SATELLITES TO ACCESS THE INTERNET, GREATLY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF INTERNET USERS.
It is on record that about 40% of the world population today have access to the internet compared to the less than 1% that had access to it in 1995. Internet access can be provided through a number of routes and satellite broadband route is one of them. This route is the one that is usually used in less developed countries.
