Review the theme. The rules of society don't always benefit the needs of the individual. Which explains how the character Mowgli contributes to the theme? A) Because Mowgli wants to be loud and obnoxious, he is not accepted by human society and must live in the jungle. (B) He is stronger than many of the other boys, which makes him an outcast. (C) Mowgli is a rebel at heart and doesn't really belong anywhere. He will be much happier on his own.
