The war in Vietnam was popular at home was popular because<em> </em>Dwight D. Eisenhower send over his army or people to help the South Vietnamese people.

That's how my dad talked to me about the American people helping the South Vietnamese people. I don't really know how the Americans really felt about the Vietnam war.

No, almost everyone hated it. The Vietnam war was probably one of the most hated wars in the eyes of American civilians. It is what started to Hippy generation.
