Biology

Follow the different processes as a story taking in all the different organelles as you go along for example, in protein synthesis, from transcription right through to the destination of a product in a vesicle. Visuals are great too.

Another way: write down the different stages, cut them into strips, jumble them up then put them in order

Density is mass divided by volume. The mass of the block is 10 grams. The volume of the block is 2 mL: the water changes from the 3 mL line to the 5 mL when the block is added, so the block must be 5-3= 2 mL.

So, the density is 10 g / 2 mL = 5 g/mL.

Hope this helps!

When animal cells are grown in a petri dish, they typically stop dividing once they have formed a single, unbroken layer on the
BlackZzzverrR [31]

Answer: C) density-dependent inhibition

Explanation: When density is high. cell division is inhibited. Density-dependent inhibition occurs when cells grow to a limit and the density of the area is high, growth becomes inhibited as a result of competition for nutrients, space and growth factors. When such arises, the cells get a notification to stop division.

Describe the importance of checking blood sugar for a diabetic
Advocard [28]

It is important  to check sugar levels to prevent them rising above or below  acceptable levels which would lead to a diabetic comma in either case.

In a diabetic person, regulation of  sugar in the blood is impaired due to lack of enough insulin in the body. In some people, there is not even a little insulin being produced. This is usually due to a  defective pancreas, the organ responsible for insulin production.

Insulin is a hormone that induces a  rapid uptake of glucose into muscle and fat tissue.  In Diabetes mellitus,  lack of enough insulin or resistance to  insulin cause sugar levels in the blood to rise and once they reach in excess of 28 mmol/l the danger of going into a diabetic comma becomes a reality.

In Diabetes insipidus, lack of the hormone vasopressin leads to low sugar levels in the blood and if not checked, lapsing into a comma may occur when sugar levels sink below 2 mmol/l.

Therefore regular checks of blood sugar levels in diabetic people is critical.
