1st find the averages of each one:

Elizabeth average of reading in min =(18+36+15+45+88+57+12)/7 =38.71 min

Sam average of reading in min =(17+52+48+35+13+71+16)/7 =36 min

question:

1) No
2) YES. [the range is te difference between the largest & the smallest)
Eliz Range = 88-12 =76 & Sam's= 71-13 = 58

3) NO. Sam 71 min & Eliz 88 min

4) YES. Median Eliz =45 min. Median Sam =35 min

HOW CAN I SOLVE IT u=2x-2 for x
irakobra [83]
U = 2x - 2

We simply need to isolate x :) That just means that we need to get x onto it's own side of the equal sign.

So, add 2 to both sides.

2 + u = 2x

Then, divide both sides by 2.

2 + u ÷ 2 = 2x ÷ 2

Simplify.

1 + u/2 = x

So, x = 1/2u + 1

~Hope I helped!~ :)

-4 1/2 x -3 3/4 <br> Does anyone know how to get the answer to that
taurus [48]
Hello there! Given the equation, we can solve through a series of steps:

1. Convert

In this step, we convert the mixed numbers to make them improper:

2 x 4 + 1 = 9, which means -4 1/2 = -9/2

4 x 3 + 3 = 15, which means -3 3/4 = -15/4

2. Multiply

Now that we have the improper fractions, we can multiply accordingly:

(-9/2 • -15/4) = -135/8

3. Simplify

Since we have our result, we can simplify to a mixed number:

-135/8 = 16 7/8

Your final answer is 16 7/8. Hope this helps!

The radius of the inscribed circle is 10in what is the perimeter of square CABD
Monica [59]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter = 10 * 2 = 20in

Diameter of inscribed circle = Length of one side of square

Perimeter of square = 4 * length

P = 4 * 20 = 80in

Does anyone know how to do this?
uranmaximum [27]

Answer:

mRS = 116

Step-by-step explanation:

If Segment SR ≅ TU then, arc SR ≅ arc TU

Thus, 6x - 28 = 4x + 20

                       ^ ( note that this is the equation we will use to solve for x )

6x - 28 = 4x + 20

step 1 add 28 to each side

28 + -28 cancels out

28 + 20 = 48

we now have 6x = 4x + 48

step 2 subtract 4x from each side

6x - 4x = 2x

4x - 4x cancels out

we now have 2x = 48

step 3 divide each side by 2

2x / 2 = x

48 / 2 = 24

we're left with x = 24

Now to find the value of arc RS we substitute x with 24 in arc RS' given expression

arc RS = 6x - 28

* substitute x with 24 *

arc RS = 6(24) - 28

6 * 24 = 144

144 - 28 = 116

Hence, arc RS = 116
