The correct answer is D. After the Westboro Baptist Church protested the funeral of Matthew Snyder the Supreme Court ruling in Phelps v. Snyder upheld that the government cannot regulate the content of a protest.

Albert Snyder, father of the dead Marine, filed a lawsuit against Fred Phelps, his two daughters and the Westboro Baptist Church, who protested at the funeral of his son.

The Court ruled in favor of Fred Felps, finding that those who speak in public about public issues (like the war in Iraq) can not be demanded for the deliberate infliction of psychological pain, even if the speech in question is insidious or insulting.

Inessa05 [86]

Some famous female roles in the history of opera have only been possible because 19th-century composers started giving important roles to mezzo-sopranos.

By the Baroque period (1600-1750), opera had taken Europe by storm, a spectacular and expensive affair filled with ornate arias and elaborate sets with moving parts. One of the greatest composers of Italian baroque opera was George Friedrich Handel (1685-1759), a German who spent most of his life in London.

This period also saw the emergence of castrati, male singers who were castrated as boys to maintain their soprano voices. Those who survived to come out on top were the singing stars of the 17th and 18th centuries. Today these roles are sung by countertenors or women.

Why did Ulysses S. Grant not feel like rejoicing ( celebrating ) ?
mel-nik [20]
He stated that he did not feel like rejoicing because the people he fought against had fought valiantly and full of pride for their cause and never faltered. He did add that although he admired their strength of belief, he did believe that the cause they chose was the worst cause in the history of mankind and that they were in the wrong.
