Answer:

When adding polynomials you've got to combine all like terms

2u^3 + 7u^3= 9u^3 (They both are raised to the third with the same variable.)

6u^2 (Stays the same because there are no other numbers that are raised to the second)

-7u (Again there are no other numbers to combine this with)

2+4=6 (Add 2+4 as normal)

Now you put together all the numbers that are left for your final answer

9u^3+6u^2-7u+6

Hope this helps ;)

Find the unit price for a 9 oz bottle of ketchup for 88cents. round answers to the nearest tenth of a cent. ________ cents per o
olga55 [171]

Answer:

0.1 cents per ounce

Step-by-step explanation:

You know that you paid 88 cents for the whole bottle of ketchup and the whole body contains 9oz of ketchup. Every one ounce is equal to 9.8 cents. You simply need to divide the total amount of the item by the weight (9 ounces) to get 0.09 or 0.1 when rounded.

\frac{88 cents}{9oz}=0.1 cents per ounce

The cheerleaders are selling tickets to a pasta dinner to raise money for new competition outfits. They plan to charge $6 per pe
kow [346]

Answer:

22 and a half ticket sold here will result in no profit situation for cheerleaders.

Step-by-step explanation:

The charge per person = $6

The total cost for dinner = $135

If cheerleaders do not make any profit , then

{ If the money earned from tickets  = The money Spent} ⇒ NO PROFIT

Now, charge per person = $6

So, number of person needed to earn a total of $135

n = \frac{\textrm{The total money needed}}{\textrm{Charge per person}}

n = \frac{135}{6} = 22.5

So, 22 and a half ticket sold here will result in no profit situation for cheerleaders.

If they sell 23 tickets, they will have a profit of $3

And if they sell 22 tickets, they will be short by $3.

What is the value of x in the following equation, x/4 = -120? (Btw, it's x over 4 not division :)
Sergio039 [100]
If you mean by x over 4 that it is fraction then there is no different between it and divisions
x/4 = -120
x = -120 × 4 ( when division goes to the other side of equal it turns into multiplication)
x = -480

A. -480
