A DANGLING MODIFIER is a phrase or a word that modifies another word in a non-clear way. Dangling modifiers create a sort of ambiguity in a sentence. For example, in sentences A, C, and D it is not clear what is soft and chewy. However, in sentence B it is clear that soft and chewy modifies "brownie"; it is B the option without a dangling modifier.
