Please help rewrite each expression as a sum -8x^2 + 3xy - 9x - 3 2ab - 5ab^2 - 9a^2b

Not sure what that means 

I guess it must be 
-8x^2 + 3xy + (-9x) + (-3) 
and
2ab + (-5ab^2) + (-9a^2b)
