Soon after the sun had completely set and we realized the bus wasn't coming, so the bus driver arranged for us to stay at the Hotel across the street from the tavern. The next day at around noon, the bus had finally arrived, but by that time we'd missed half the school day. Instead of making us go back to school in the same clothes we wore yesterday, the principal granted us all schoolleave to go home early for the day... but the bus broke down again.
