How did England ensure that it would profit from the crops raised in British colonies?
Alexxx [7]

ANSWER: The British colonies were rich in cultivating crops. So, it was a good idea to keep a watch on them and collect taxes on them. This system was much similar to collecting taxes by present day government. The taxes were profit for the government of England as they had no responsibility to spend that amount for the betterment of the colonies.
