Hard experiences are what encourage us to recall what it was like to be happy, to be thankful for those times and the hard times. So this is the advice I would give teen Hamlet - it can take a while to understand what one wants from the good and bad times in life, which is especially why to <em>be</em> is much more satisfying in the world of the living.
