I don't know about number 6, but for number 8, you need to factor the numbers.
(x + 3) (x - 3)
x^2 -3x + 3x -9 > 0
Set as equal to, then solve for the value of x.
You would get: -3 > x > 3

The probability it will snow in the next two weeks is 1/12 for this week and 1/4 for next week.
Vilka [71]

Answer:

1/48

Step-by-step explanation:

The probability of both happening is equal to the product of each probability.

P(A and B) = P(A) × P(B)

P = 1/12 × 1/4

P = 1/48

On a camping trip Trina is going to build a shelter by leading branches up against a rock wall Trina wants her sleeping bag to b
tino4ka555 [31]

The Branches should be 10' long.

What is Pythagoras theorem ?

Pythagoras theorem states that the sum of the squares of base and perpendicular is equal to the square of hypotenuse.

According to the given question on a camping trip Trina is going to build a shelter by leading branches up against a rock wall Trina wants her saving bag to be perpendicular this means it will form a right angle triangle and we know hypotenuse² = base² + perpendicular².

Here branches is the hypotenuse,wall is perpendicular and saving bag is base.

∴ (Branches)² = (wall)² + (saving bag)²

 (Branches)² = 64 + 36

 (Branches)² = 100

 Branches = 10.

PlZz AnsWeR
If each quadrilateral below is a rectangle, find the missing measures.
slava [35]

Answer:

GF = 11

GE = 28

DF = 28

HF = 14

DG = √(663)

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that for a rectangle;

1) The opposite sides are equal

Therefore, GF = DE = 11

2) The diagonals of a rectangle are equal and they bisect each other

Therefore;

HE = HF = GH = 14

∴ HF = 14

HE = 14

GE = GH + HE = 14 + 14 = 28

GE = 28

DF = GE = 28

DF = 28

3) The sides of a rectangle are perpendicular

Therefore, by Pythagoras's theorem, DG = √(DF² - GF²) = √(28² - 11²) = √663 ≈ 25.75
