Read the passage from The Odyssey - Amphimedon. "Amphimedon, What ruin brought you into this undergloom? All in a body, picked m

en, and so young? One could not better choose the kingdom's pride. Were you at sea, aboard ship, and Poseidon blew up a dire wind and foundering waves, or cattle-raiding, were you, on the mainland, or in a fight for some stronghold, or women, when the foe hit you to your mortal hurt? Tell me, answer my question. Guest and friend I say I am of yours—or do you not remember I visited your family there?” From the way that Agamemnon talks to Amphimedon, the reader can infer that Agamemnon is disturbed by Amphimedon. is fighting with Amphimedon. has great respect for Amphimedon. has a deep affection for Amphimedon.

the reader can infer that Agamemnon is disturbed by Amphimedon.

Agamemnon asks Amphimedon "What ruin brought you into this undergloom?" He is upset to see Amphimedon in the Underworld. He then asks Amphimedon about how he died. In hopes that Amphimedon died in glory, he lists various ways a man might die honorably. The passage ends with Agamemnon reminding Amphimedon of their friendship. However, it seems from the way Agamemon seems to be searching his friend for answers that Amphimedon is not behaving in the way he expects or recognizes him. This disturbs Agamemnon.

Which statement from FDR's speeches uses parallel structure?
Zolol [24]
I'd say that the statement from FDR's speeches that uses parallel structure is C. American ships have been sunk; American airplanes have been destroyed.
Both of these independent clauses use the passive form of the verb - in the first clause, the passive form of the verb to sink is used, and in the second, of the verb to destroy.
A parallel structure means that throughout a sentence, the same form of words is used, and given that here both sentences have passive forms, I'd say C is the correct answer.

Describe how revolutionary-era literature differed from the literature produced by the puritans
andreyandreev [35.5K]

The Puritans generally wrote about religion, their experiences with other religions, and some other things, while revolutionary- era literature was more about freedom and opportunity.

Explanation:

Revolution literature spun more about reaching understanding ideas (such as human rights, government power, etc.). Puritan literature was intended to make people (religious or not) open their eyes to the world of crime and to deliver God more relevant in your normal life and make God more comprehensible.
