Which parts of this excerpt from Jefferson Davis's Inaugural Address suggest that the Confederate States' decision to secede fro
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

"It is joyous, in the midst of perilous times, to look around upon a people united in heart, where one purpose of high resolve animates and actuates the whole—where the sacrifices to be made are not weighed in the balance against honor and right and liberty and equality."

Explanation:

The excerpt selected above is the excerpt present in Jefferson Davis' speech that shows that the decision of the Confederate States to separate from the USA was motivated by the desire for freedom.

This excerpt shows how the Confederate states recognized that secession was a dangerous thing and that many sacrifices would be made to make it happen, but they were willing to sacrifice as long as it allowed them access to the honor, freedom and equality that were three factors that they didn't feel they owned being part of the US.
