The story “An Episode of War” talks about the reality of warfare
and how the naturalistic side of the story relates to the human side of life.
It centers on the two different perspectives of the war, in
which the side of the lieutenant and the side of a soldier who watches the war
through his own eyes. Each character represents a different way of how they
handle their life in their hands, in
which they would decide their own fate. The lieutant shows bravery upon his
bold actions and the soldier changes his view in life by seeing things that are
unfortunate.
