Answer: Magma originates in the lower part of the Earth's crust and in the upper portion of the mantle. Most of the mantle and crust are solid. Magma that cools quickly forms one kind of igneous rock. When igneous rocks undergo weathering and erosion, they are broken into smaller pieces of sediment. Once the rock has been weakened and broken up by weathering it is ready for erosion. Erosion happens when rocks and sediments are picked up and moved to another place by ice, water, wind or gravity. Mechanical weathering physically breaks up rock. ... The sediment is dropped, or deposited, in landforms. Over time, sediment accumulates in oceans, lakes, and valleys, eventually building up in layers and weighing down the material underneath. This weight presses the sediment particles together, compacting them. Water passing through the spaces in between the particles helps to cement them together even more. Some examples of sedimentary rocks are limestone, sandstone, siltstone, shale, conglomerate, and breccia. Most sedimentary rocks contain either quartz or calcite. Way down inside the Earth, it very hot and there is a lot of pressure. It's so hot and there is so much pressure that rocks that get pushed deep into the Earth actually change. This process is called metamorphism. ... Some rocks get pushed down so far underground that they melt and become molten rock called magma. It's so hot and there is so much pressure that rocks that get pushed deep into the Earth actually change. ... Igneous rocks like granite can turn into gneiss (pronounced 'nice') and sedimentary rocks like limestone can change into marble when they are pushed down into the hot pressure-cooker inside the Earth.

1. Classification means the grouping of organisms on the basis of
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer: b) common features.

Explanation: Classification is the way we decide on relationships between groups of organisms, and this is done in several levels in a hierarchy. For example, all plants form a group based on having chlorophyll and being photosynthetic (the plant kingdom), which other kingdoms like animals and fungi do not. Within plants there are divisions, like angiosperms - plants with flowers. The closest relationships are between species in the same genus, plants that have the same kind of flowers and seed, like the Flanders poppy and California poppy.

A model for a company's revenue from selling a software package is R(p)equals=−2.52^2400p, where p is the price in dollars of
dsp73

A model for a company's revenue from selling a software package is R(p)=-2.5p² + 400p, where p is the price in dollars of the software. What price will maximize revenue? Find the maximum revenue.

Answer: p = $80,  R = $16,000

Step-by-step explanation:

The maximum is the y-value of the Vertex.

Step 1: Use the Axis-Of-Symmetry (AOS) formula to find x:

x=\frac{-b}{2a}

R(p) = -2.5p² + 400

     a= -2.5  b=400

p=\frac{-(400)}{2(-2.5)}

         = \frac{-400}{-5}

        =80

∴ In order to maximize the value, the company will sell the software package for $80

Step 2: Find the maximum by plugging the p-value (above) into the given equation.

R(80) = -2.5(80)² + 400(80)

         = -16,000 + 32,000

         = 16,000

What can be done to reduce the risk of cross contamination while performing cpr?
klio [65]
To reduce the risks of cross contamination when performing cpr, we should try, as far as possible, and if conditions permit, practice cpr in a clean environment of any chemical or physical waste, that the person who is performing the procedure doesn´t have any respiratory disease that can make the situation worse, having clean hands not to contaminate the patient, keep other people away so fresh air can flow freely.
