The correct answer is "He is described as brave and noble".

Not only in this excerpt, but all throughout the narration of "The Canterbury Tales", the depiction of the Knight is highly positive. Multiple mentions of his military achievements, loyalty, kidness and politeness are displayed in the story. The Knight is also complementary presented as a humble man who in spite of his reputation, never calls attention to himself nor does he speak badly of anyone arround him.

Hope this helps!

SOMEONE PLEASEE HELPPP you need to explain why the claim support etc is wrong about this paragraph
Bogdan [553]

The argument is ineffective and can be improved significantly. First of all, he writes the claim in the first person. A formal persuasive essay should be in the form of third person. The author can improve his support by using less opinions and back-up his thesis with facts and evidence and does not take a strong stance on the conclusion clincher. The author also does not efficiently connect his essay. There is no cohesion and his diction is weak. He can improve it by using stronger vocabulary.

Answer:

What prevents Odysseus from killing the sleeping Cyclops is:

C. He knows that they cannot move the boulder blocking the doorway.

Explanation:

Odysseus is the hero in the epic poem "The Odyssey", by Homer. At a certain point, he and his men end up trapped in a land filled with Cyclopes, one-eyed giants who eat men. Odysseus has the chance to kill the Cyclops who keeps him and his men hostage, but he realizes he cannot do it:

"[...] if I killed him we perished there as well, for we could never move his ponderous doorway slab aside."

A slab is a large and heavy piece of concrete or stone. Odysseus knows that, if he kills the Cyclops, they will all die since they cannot escape. He and his men do not have the strength or the means to move the boulder aside and free the way out.
