This active transport mechanism is a sodium-potassium pump.

The sodium potassium pump is a sequence of proteins within the cell membrane. It moves sodium and potassium ions across the cell membrane in a process called facilitated diffusion, or active transport: when ions move against the concentration gradient, or to a highly concentrated region. To do so, the pump needs energy in the form of ATP, which is produced through cellular respiration. Once the pump receives this energy, it is able to maintain the resting potential in a nerve cell.

Solar Energy and Biodiversity are the 3 factors of Sustainability.

Answer:

B. Solar energy

D. Biodiversity

Explanation:

Sustainable sources of energy are renewable sources of energy. Sustainable energy is the availability of energy to such an extent that it addresses the issues of the present without trading off the capacity of future ages to address their issues.

Sustainable energy incorporates all sustainable energy sources, for instance, hydroelectricity (electricity from water), biomass, geothermal (electricity from the Earth), wind (using windmill), wave, tidal and sun oriented energies. Renewable energy is the process but sustainable energy is our belief or mindset.

consuming high levels of provitamin a carotenoids, which come from plant sources, does not lead to vitamin a toxicity.
Feliz [49]

Consuming high levels of pro vitamin A carotenoid, which come from plant sources, does not lead to vitamin A toxicity. This statement is true.

Vitamin A is obtained mainly from the food products we eat, but it is also synthesized in our body via pro vitamin A carotenoids like beta-carotene. When high amounts of pro vitamin A carotene are consumed in the diet of a person they are converted very slowly and naturally in our body into vitamin A in the intestine.

Vitamin A has many benefits including defense from pathogens, strengthening immune system, improving vision, and also improving overall growth and development of the body etc.
