The Marshall Plan was an American initiative that takes places after the second world war. The Plan started in 1948 and was active for four years.
The objectives of the plan were to build strong trading partners for the United States, to help Europe rebuild after the devastation caused by the war and to stop the spread of communism.
The Marshall Plan did not have as an objective the making of Europe as the most powerful continent, as it was a plan designed to help Europe in a moment of great need after the atrocity of the world war II.
This law is known as the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952. This law kept in place the national origins quota. This meant that there was only a certain amount of citizens from particular countries that were allowed to enter the US. Even though this keeps in place this quota, the law does remove racial barriers for immigration and naturalization purposes.
