Americans were able to help by making their own gardens to assist with the war effort to help prevent a food shortage this meant food for everyone! Planting Victory Gardens helped make sure that there was enough food for our soldiers fighting around the world.
Victory Gardens. First promoted during World War I, war gardening, or victory gardens, provided American citizens an opportunity to assist with the war effort. Americans were encouraged to produce their own food, planting vegetable gardens in their backyards, churchyards, city parks, and playgrounds.
I would say National Capitals. There are very few, if not any communist countries or cities in Europe. Agricultural regions usually have less population density. Landlocked cities do make some sense, although I don't think it is Landlocked.
