The medieval guilds were generally one of two types: merchant guilds or craft guilds. merchant guilds were associations of all or most of the merchants in a particular town or city; these men might be local or long-distance traders, wholesale or retail sellers, and might deal in various categories of goods.

A guild is a group or association of traders or craftsman. Every guild focused on a particular trade in particular area e.g  potters guild etc.

The Medieval guilds controlled prices, working hours, standard of products and used to define trade rules and regulations. They had their own courts to resolve their matters. Besides they used to play an important role in society.

America prosperity today and the extinction of native American cultures were due to European settlements. Europeans settlers like the spanish forced the native Americans into converting into Christianity which resulted in leaving today Americas' lost in native cultures. Many people from around the world started migrating into Americas in search of freedom of religious and opportunities. The world most wide known language, English originated from the British settlements. Modern US government was brought through progresses of Europeans arrival from the Mayflower Compact to the Bill of Rights, Constitution, Declaration of Independence, etc.. Europeans also brought along advances in technology from their voyages around the world, such as the type writer and compass.

The reason behind this was because Washington wanted the workers to get more appreciated for their doings. It was in their favor and Washington was not wishing to bribe the workers. What he wanted was a fair country. In my opinion he is one of the presidents that holds our country together today. :D
