The reason the author wrote this passage is to persuade the reader to give them their phone back.
They do apologize, but the passage isn't all about an apology or what they did, it's mainly about their phone.
They are bored and they do know they broke the rules but neither of those are the main idea.
The answer is B. I want my phone back.
