When the real estate agent couldn’t find anything they liked in the older part of town, he took the young couple to a new subdiv

ision called Pleasant Grove. It would be farther from the husband’s work, but there was a new school nearby – he knew they’d appreciate that. The wife said it already felt better than the other neighborhoods they’d looked at because there were kids’ toys in the yards. The husband wanted to know which road he would take to get to work and how far it was. When he looked at the price sheet at the first house, he was pleasantly surprised to see that the house cost less than their house in Cleveland. “That’ll make his new boss happy,” the realtor thought.
The reader can infer that
A.
the real estate agent thinks this couple is too hard to please.
B.
the husband is an up-and-coming executive in a new company.
C.
the couple has just moved to town for the husband's new job.
D.
both the husband and the wife grew up in Cleveland.

Write a story illustrating the saying better late than never
Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

I found this cute story

Ed Whitlock, an 85-year-old Canadian engineer, set a new 42.195km world record in the 85-90 year old category at the last Toronto Marathon: his final time was 3 hours and 56 minutes, over half an hour shorter than the previous record. At the end of the race the Canadian did not even appear too tired, only regret not having taken 6 minutes less.

"I was aiming for 3 hours and 50, but after halfway through the race I realized it was too difficult", this was his statement, while he complained with a smile of "pain in the legs". Those legs that allowed him to reach an enviable time by runners of all ages in the 2004 Toronto Marathon, which he finished in under 3 hours - exactly, 2 hours, 54 minutes and 49 seconds - at just 73 years old!

And he started running at 40, an age that often coincides with the retirement of professional runners, who instead for him, thanks to so much tenacity and willpower, marked the starting point to crush record after record. When asked what he will do when he grows up, he replies: "Nobody knows when the time for the last race will come, but I will continue to run as long as I can."

a story that ends with "therefore, whoever wants to sit under a tree tomorrow should plant one today
zhuklara [117]

Here is a story that ends with  "therefore, whoever wants to sit under a tree tomorrow should plant one today"

I must confess to you, I like to enjoy life. I like to have the latest clothes, gadgets and toys. I always splurged a lot and never saved. I reckoned I would begin to save when I was older.

But as I grew older, my gluttony seemed to just get worse. I earned five hundred thousand dollars per annum yet I always seemed to be in debt and I had no savings all thanks to my extremely lavish lifestyle.

In the blink of an eye, I was already old and I had to retire. I retired penniless and in great debt. I could not afford my house so I ended up in a homeless shelter.

If only, I had managed my finances better when I was younger, I would not be living in penury now. Therefore, whoever wants to sit under a tree tomorrow should plant one today".
