Read the following excerpt from E. O. Wilson’s “The Environmental Ethic.” It is also easy to overlook the services that ecosyste

ms provide humanity. They enrich the soil and create the very air we breathe. Without these amenities, the remaining tenure of the human race would be nasty and brief. The life-sustaining matrix is built of green plants with legions of microorganisms and mostly small, obscure animals—in other words, weeds and bugs. Such organisms support the world with efficiency because they are so diverse, allowing them to divide labor and swarm over every square meter of the earth’s surface. They run the world precisely as we would wish it to be run, because humanity evolved within living communities and our bodily functions are finely adjusted to the idiosyncratic environment already created. The author tries to persuade the reader to agree with his claim about the importance of ecosystems by providing facts. presenting statistics. restating his claim. using deductive reasoning.

providing facts

The author in this passage provides many facts about how the ecosystem helps humanity. He does not use statistics, but the facts about how each organism contributes to the overall working of the earth is good and objective information that seems like it can be trusted.

The author tries to persuade the reader to agree with his claim about the importance of ecosystems by providing facts.

The author does not present statistics. However, the author does highlight that ecosystems "enrich the soil" and create the air. Also the "life sustaining matrix" is built of microorganisms that evolved along humanity. The author does not used deductive reasoning because he is not building his argument by saying that "if this then this". Finally, rather than restating his claim he aims to explain why ecosystems are important.

A minute speech on the topic
As sow as we reap
shutvik [7]

Answer:

Our actions and their results are closely related to each other. While virtuous deeds lead to pleasant outcomes, evil ones invariably cause pain and misery. But, people generally ignore this reality and worry unnecessarily about the future. It is usually forgotten that the nature of our future life depends a great deal on the way we live in the present. Success in life is less the result of a divine blessing than of such qualities as hard work, courage, fortitude, and the determination to overcome challenges. Whenever we criticize circumstances for our troubles, we should not forget that our troubles may be due to our own faults and mistakes. In other words, what we get maybe what we deserve.

Discuss issues of greed versus love.
vlabodo [156]

Answer:greedy is driven by an act of wanting something but not being satisfied even after you have received it. Issues of greedy make someone to not be happy no matter how much they have achieved they still want more and more and it is never enough ; they want it all for themselves.

Love is driven by a pure heart that get satisfied by what ever they received in whatever amount as long as it is what they desire or love so it is driven by pure emotions and pure desires to achieve what one wants and be satisfied with the amount they receive from that.
