Answer:

D. Obatain more information on the topic from published resources,

Explanation:

A thesis statement is included in order to identify the topic that will be discussed and is written for a specific audience. This means that the reader will know if is interested in the paper or not just by reading the thesis statement.

Now, the thesis normally includes personal observations and experiences, facts, examples, opinion, and statistics, However, the information included must convince the readers that your thesis makes sense and so will the rest of your paper, therefore you need to obtain information from public sources, because they are distributed or archived by a reputable party, mainly because the information is already proven true. This can be used paraphrased or quoted.

Which of the following sentences has a helping verb?
disa [49]

The correct option is B) “She had rested on the rock”. Helping verbs are verbs that help the main verb with its meaning and they also set the time of the verb. In this case, the helping verb “had” is helping the main verb “rested”. The auxiliary verb “had” is also setting the verb tense of the sentence, which is past perfect.

The other examples “paddled”, “went” and “swam” are action verbs that do not need a helping verb to extend or add meaning.
