Wilbur Wright, born in Millville, Indiana on April 16, 1867, became ill
on a business trip to Boston in April 1912.  Some have attributed his
illness to eating bad shellfish at a banquet. After returning to Dayton,
he was diagnosed with typhoid fever. He lingered in and out of
consciousness for several weeks until he died, at age 45, in the
Wright family home on May 30, 1912.

Orville Wright, born in Dayton, Ohio on August 19, 1871, died on
January 30, 1948, over 35 years after his brother, following his second
heart attack.

John T. Daniels, the Coast Guardsman who took the famous first-flight
photos in 1903, died the day after Orville Wright.

Both Wright brothers are buried in the family plot at Woodland Cemetery
in Dayton, Ohio.

Reconstruction brought many changes to the southerners, both good and bad. During the construction era, the black in the south who were once slaves were freed and they become free men. They were also given the power to vote and contribute to the government. The whites in the south were bitter about these positive changes to the black and they put up a lot of violent protests. The whites were also restrained from voting.
