What's an example of war time repression under President Wilson

History

Establishment historians have long been rather embarrassed by this veritable reign of terror during and following World War I. For they have a particular problem: At the top of the pyramid of repression was none other than Woodrow Wilson, one of the great triad of "strong" presidents (the others are Lincoln and FDR) who are supposed to have brought America to its present pinnacle of preeminence. As Mencken put it, their attitude has been that Woodrow Wilson was the natural candidate "for the first vacancy in the Trinity." What then to do about Wilson as commander in chief of the repression machine? Up until the last two decades, the solution was to levitate him above the carnage; not Wilson but his impetuous and reactionary advisers were to blame, both for the wartime repression and for the notorious Palmer "red raids" conducted well after the end of the war.

I hope this helps, God bless, and have a great day.

Answer:

<u>2 Steps for Warming Up</u>

1. Try to <u>loosen your joints</u> by doing rotations. Make circle with your shoulders in a forward and backward motion. Repeat this 5 times for every direction.

2.<u> Stretch your muscles</u> by bending through your hips. Make sure to stand with your feet apart and hands at your waist. Then, you can start bending to the right and left in a slow motion.

<u>2 Steps for Cooling Down</u>

<u>1.</u> Stretch your hamstrings and glutes through the <u><em>"Standing Toe Touch Stretch." </em></u>This means you have to stand tall and make sure that your hips are straight. Then, you have to bend forward by rounding your back as you reach for your toes. You should hold the stretch for at least<u> 20 seconds</u>.

<u>2.</u> You may also open your chest through the<u> </u><u><em>"Upper Chest Stretch."</em></u> All you have to do is to<em> clasp you hands at your back.</em> Then, reach out as far as you can. Put your head back and tighten your pelvis. Breathe in and breathe out while doing this.

Explanation:

"Warming up" is very essential before attempting to exercise. This signals the body to prepare. It should be done slowly until <em>the heart rate raises</em> (it is now ready to pump).

On the contrary, a "cool down" prepares the body to lower its heart rate. It should also be done slowly until your breathing rate is back to<u> normal.</u>

Explain how organisms came to live on land and how?
mariarad [96]

Answer:

Life on Earth evolved in oceans, while the land was not suitable for living due to lack of ozone and oxygen. With time, photosynthesis enriched our atmosphere with oxygen and the ozone layer was formed. This allowed the ocean-based life forms to evolve and venture onto land. From skeleton-less soft bodies, animals evolved lighter bodies with slim, strong legs to carry them against gravity. They had hard exoskeletons to protect them against weather elements such as rain,...
