A Compound sentence is that one which is "linked" with a conjuction such as: <em>and, for, but, so, </em>and it's composed by two independent clauses. A Complex sentence contain an independent clause and at least one dependent clause --which is the opposite of independent, this one cannot go alone as it'll be "incomplete--. And finally, a compound complex sentence is that one which is basically a "compound sentence" but with a dependent clause.
