Answer: Non Organic beef steak

Explanation:

Elasticity of demand measures the sensitivity of a demand for a good to change in price changes. Substitute is another factor that affects the demand of a good in question. There is a positive relationship between Substitute product and the demand of the good in question. An increase in the price of a good in question will increase the demand for the substitute product and a decrease in the price of a good in question will decrease the demand for the substitute product  since consumers have a choice because they can easily substitute one product with another product.

We assume that consumers buy non organic (regular) beef steak regularly, Regular Beef steak is therefore more sensitive to price changes because regular beef steak has a very close substitute which is the organic beef steak. A good that has a close substitute product is said to be more elastic or more sensitive to prices because when the price increases consumers will change and buy the substitute product, consumers have a choice. when the price of regular beef steak increases consumers will buy the substitute product which is the Organic Beef steak

meriva

Answer:

1) Amount of uncollectible accounts expenses is $ 2,750

2) Net realizable value of receivables at the end of Year 2 is $65,040

Explanation:

Accounts Receivable Balance, January 1, Year 2 = $ 78,500

Allowance for Doubtful Accounts, January 1, Year 2 = $4,710

Sales on Account, Year 2 = $550,000

Collections of Accounts Receivable, Year 2 = $556,000

1) Amount of uncollectible accounts expenses = $550,000 ×0.5% = $ 2,750

2) Allowance for doubtful accounts, beginning balance = $4,710

Less: Write off = $ -2,850

Add: Uncollectible accounts expense for the year = $2,750

Allowance for doubtful accounts, ending balance = $4,610

Accounts receivable, Beginning balance =$78,500

Add: Credit sales = $550,000

Less: Collections = $-556,000

Less: Write off = $-2,850

Accounts receivable, Ending balance = $69,650

Accounts receivable, Ending balance = $69,650

Less: Allowance for doubtful accounts, ending balance = $-4,610

A change in the money supply will change investment when a. the money supply is a function of the price level. b. investment dep
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

C) investment is interest-sensitive.

Explanation:

Investment is a function of the real interest rate. In Economics, this is expressed as:

I(r)

Where:

I = Investment

r = Real interest rate (which is equal to nominal interest rate minus expected inflation).

The higher the interest rate, the less is the quantity of investment, and the lower the interest rate, the more investment in an economy.

A change in the money supply affects interest rates. This is essentially the reason why the Fed exists in first place: to target a specific interest rate by increasing or decreasing the money supply.

If the Fed wants to raise the interest rate, it reduces the money supply, and if it wants to lower the interest rate, it increases the money supply.

Answer:

a. Stockholders' equity as of December 31, 2017: $635,000

b. Stockholders' equity as of December 31, 2018: $524,000

Explanation:

Please find the below for detailed explanation and calculations:

We have the Accounting Equation as: Total Asset = Total Liabilities + Total Equity <=> Total Equity = Total Asset - Total Liabilities

Applying the Accounting Equation to find the Stockholder's Equity at the two point of time require, we have the calculation as below:

* December 31, 2017:

Total Asset = $836,000; Total Liabilities = $201,000

<u>=> Total Stockholder's Equity = $836,000 - $201,000 =$635,000</u>

*December 2018:

Total Asset = $836,000 - $159,000 = $677,000; Total Liabilities = $201,000 - $48,000 = $153,000

<u>=> Total Stockholder's equity = $677,000 - $153,000 = $524,000 </u>
