Coal fired power plants are used to create the electricity that we depend on. However, they also release a lot of pollution into

the atmosphere through their giant smokestacks.
After a new plant was built in Jackson, residents noticed that the statue in the town square had started to fall apart or corrode, and that this was especially noticeable after a rain storm.
