In the inheritor, when faced to Emil's advice, Madeline concludes that se would not approach her uncle under any circumpstances. Emil's advice for Madeline was that she should apologize to him and accept his help. But finally, after deciding not to, stating that doing so would result in her getting in danger, she is also letting know that her uncle, actually, it isn't who he claims to be. They are not actual relatives.
